A Very Quick Update Part 4-the final post from this picture file ;-)

Anyone who really knows us, knows that we love High School Musical. Yes, ALL of us. I know, I know...it may seem crazy. But, truth be told, we think it is fun. Nothing to "live" by-just fun. And the music is catchy too. So, we went to see it at the City of Farmington's performance. (Courtesy of my Mom who thankfully likes it too.)
It was a little sunny...and a little hot...does that prove that we are fans (or crazy)?
(Don't answer that...)

All of us, except my Mom (the photographer)
Why didn't we grab someone to take the picture?
Papa's famous shakes...

A short stop on the drive home for breakfast with Isom cousins. Belgian waffles and family time. Yummy. And the banana waffles were oh so banana-y! ;-)
(inside joke...try the vanilla. They are really good!)

A Very Quick Update Part 3

Temple Open House...so pretty and 2 in one year for us! (yeah!)
McDonald's trip to change clothes, eat (yuck!), and head up to the copper mine

one big tire (+my kids, + 1 uncle, + 1 family friend)

Probably my child that looks the most like me (further proof Garth's genes seemed to dominate)

Fishing with Papa (and obviously excited) at Farmington Pond

VERY Quick Update Part 2

Castle Park (perfect solution to the disappointment of Antelope Island-next time we won't go during the worst month of the year to see Buffalo!)
Jonas & Starlee
Ry ("That doesn't look too far and I LOVE to jump!)

I was reading Here Be Dragons and was pretty engrossed.

Trev our prankster ;-)

All comfy like.

A VERY Quick Recap (at least part 1-and backwards)

In July we headed up to Utah to visit my parents (minus Garth-he had work and we weren't about to walk away from that). This is the lone buffalo we saw at Antelope Island (but we took pictures at different angles to help fill up the scrapbook page).
Us.

Fireworks-LOVE them! (especially the parachute guys for some reason...)

Jonas and Starlee-some of my fav pictures (though this isn't the best of them all)

Anyone who knows Starlee knows she CANNOT keep her eyes open for a picture (another great thing inherited from her mother). So, here she is with Hailey on the 4th. We had a great time at the Peterson's and then the Ryan's. We felt loved, very loved.

Scout Camp

Garin went to Scout Camp this year (and loved it-I think part of that is the fact that he has AMAZING leaders-love them!). Garth went up to spend the night to provide some extra adults. By the time he got there Garin was already in bed and when he left for work in the morning Garin was still asleep. So, Garth missed out on a bunch of the fun stuff and wasn't really able to take the requested pictures for his wife since he missed all the action. But, here are the memories he did preserve! ;-)
PS We made a trip to Utah before Scout camp, which I will blog-but...I have quite a few pictures, lots of red eye reduction to do, and a very long post to create, so it is going to be out of order!

And to our favorite Dad (that would be Garth)...

A Father's Day breakfast to show him we care. I am so grateful for the wonderful father and husband that Garth is. I always wish that I could do more (and I know the kids feel the same), but honestly I am just not sure if there could be anything that would adequately describle how thankful we really are for him. So, instead we went with some of his favorite breakfast items (and added a couple of new); stuffed French toast with marscapone and strawberries (with vanilla whipped cream), stuffed cream & marscapone strawberries, minted fruit salad, Del Mar quiche (crustless), chive biscuits (made by Shelby), and Diet Cream Soda for a treat. We got up early and cooked all morning-but the smile is always worth it (and I think he likes the chance to sleep in 1/year). We did dinner, etc. too-but we get out of church so late and were in such a rush I forgot to take pictures. I am working on that! Now to start planning next year...

And now our Ry Guy

We only have 1 month with two birthdays. So, we had a fun May. It is hard to believe (yet so great) that our youngest is 4. He has sparkly eyes and he loves to negotiate with me. It is not uncommon to here "But if I love you all day long?" come out of his mouth in exchange for x-box time or gogurt. He is a giver this one! :-)
Oh-Jeff, Kerity, and kids came up for some time and we all headed to the clubhouse. LOVED it.

And finally I am back...with so much to catch up on! :-)

Our Eman turned 9. Yep, 9. Wow! We headed to the beach (cold...but the beach, so you have to love it) and then had ice cream cake (cold again...go figure). We love this guy and the joy he brings our family. Happy Birthday.

Does anyone wonder...

what their husband would write if he posted to the blog (this is for those of us that have husbands/boyfriends that don't)? Because sometimes I kind of wonder. I am not saying that he should or needs to-because he works really hard and blogging probably isn't at the top of his TO DO list, but I do wonder. And then I think maybe it is a better idea just to wonder-I would hate word to get around as to what he might think...I kind of like this all one sided. :-)
Joking definitely intended. Have a great day!

Ryden's BIG Day...no more diapers, hooray!

What did he want when he filled up his chart? McDonald's! I think they have some kind of brain-washing going on! ;-) Here he is in the car at the drive-thru window. Pretty handsome and such a big, potty-trained kid!
Showing me his nugget. I must have looked like I couldn't remember what they looked like! ;-)

And just giving me that "I am a big kid now!" smile!

Open House at Tony Tobin

A few pictures from the kids Open House
Trev's classroom was decorated like a jungle (LOVED IT) and their class composed their own book this year, which was printed. We loved Trevon's write up. Maybe one day I will have time to blog about just that! :-)
Starlee and her teacher, Mrs. Huth. A sweeter person you couldn't find and so good with our Starlee-girl. We have been so lucky this year at Tony Tobin and love their teachers.

Trev and his Teacher, Mrs. Hall, who he (and I, and Garth, and everyone) absolutely adores!

Ethan and Mrs. Underwood. She is very computer savvy and Ethan has loved that in her class. She is such a joy and has so much energy. A wonderful woman.
The kids have had a blast this year and are accomplishing so much. We are very proud of them and their efforts!

Eman is 9

For E's birthday we went to the beach (where else?). It was a CHILLY day! We met the Pulsiphers there so it could have been snowing and we would have loved it! The kids had fun, we chatted and loved it, and Ethan had a great birthday. For dinner we stopped at In-N-Out on the way home (forgot to take pictures...too busy enjoying my grilled onions). And then on to cake and gifts...here are a few pictures from his big day!
PS He had Beef Stroganoff (Pitt family style) on Sunday for his birthday dinner/my Mother's Day dinner.
He doesn't even look like he is freezing! ;-)
He has wanted this for the longest time...

My #3s

Isn't he cute?

Mother's Day

I have been a horrible blogger. We have been busy, very busy. So, in an attempt to catch up a bit-a few posts (not in chronological order-sorry).
Mother's Day was the day after Ethan's birthday (another post), which was fun. Next year we will share the day (or I will just give it to him after breakfast)! My favorite part of Mother's Day is breakfast. Garth is a GREAT cook, so breakfast is absolutely wonderful-a big bonus. And of course in our house presentation is a big deal. This year he did absolutely terrific (rivaling my Father's Day last year, so I am definitely feeling the "presentation" pressure for Father's Day this year.)! I asked for Chilaquiles and Cottage Potatoes from one of my favorite cookbooks from The Cottage restaurant!
Here are some of my festivity helpers...
and me, no makeup (eek!) with the kids

my breakfast...he gets better every year!
a tealight holder from Starlee

my everlasting boquet of flowers from Trev (I thought this was a terrific idea)

and notecards, a note, and a pen from E-pretty cool, huh?
I love my family!
