Something new...

Shelby asked us a bit ago if she could maybe try something a little different when it came to school. She was thinking that a charter school or something like that would be the way to go for her. So, we had her write the pros and cons because we wanted her to really think this through. We wanted her to make an informed decision. We were impressed with the pros and cons that she came up with (to be honest she impresses us a lot-she is a great kid). Anyway, we prayed about it, she prayed about it, we all fasted about it, and it looks like she has decided to do just that-go through a charter school. The route she is probably taking is that some things will be done at home and some classes she will take at a charter location. If she doesn't like it, she can go back to her middle school. We can take it by a year by year basis. For now she is wanting to add some things not offered at her current school and wants some help in some areas the school doesn't have time to help with (because she passes). This is definitely a new and unexpected route and we are so grateful for love and support of family and friends that are so thoughtful and patient.
