Kalihiwai Falls

The pictures are a bit out of order. We went kayaking up to Kalihiwai Falls (which is one of my favorite things to do in Kauai). The first picture is of my leg after the trip-the mosquitos not only loved me, but I think they should make me their #1 victim! Next is a picture of my very handsome husband as we were completing the last little part-hiking to the falls. Too be honest, I just like taking pictures of him because I think he is so cute! Next is a cool picture of a bird that Garth caught on "film." And then my awesome brother-in-law Casey checking out the waterfall itself. It was fun-although I heard that Jonathan, Taylor, & Chad had a blast when they kayaked up right after us-maybe I should have sent the camera?

Rock Quarry's Beach

Slowly, but surely, I will get all of our pictures from Kauai up. The first Sunday we were there we went to Quarry's with Jenna, Casey, & the three youngest kids. It is such a pretty beach and we had a great time walking along the sand and just taking the beauty in.

Kalihiwai Beach-Friday (out of order)

Just a few pictures form Kalihiwai Beach on Friday the 17th f November!
It was a great first day in Kauai! :-)

Water Fight at Anini Beach

There was a water fight between Garth, Jonathan, & all of the kids. It started with Jonathan pouring some water over Starlee (she splashed right back), then Garth DUMPING water all over Jonathan, and the rest is history-I couldn't keep track of the carnage after that! :-)

Anini Beach-Kauai

Saturday's beach was Anini Beach. At first we went to the beginning of the beach which was only OK, then Mom & Dad took us to the end of the beach which all of us LOVED! The beaches here are so incredibly beautiful! What a way to spend 2 weeks!!
Here is Shelby with her Grandma looking for shells and just plain enjoying the beach!

Mom & Dad have been so gracious to let all 13 of us come for the Thanksgiving holiday! Here they are relaxing with all of us at the beach!
This is what your face looks like after snorkeling!! :-)

Working on the sandcastles.

I love sand!
Garin hung out on the beach most of the time at Anini building sandcastles, etc.

Ethan was playing in the water here (with a sand toy) and took a second to pose for the camera!

Starlee is having at blast at the beach everyday!

Fire Station-Preschool Field Trip

Okay, my first field trip that I was in charge of was to the fire station in Alpine. The firestation is SO nice! It is brand new and they have done such a nice job on the design! The firemen were great with the kids and answered the adult questions too!

The kids favorite spots were on the recliner chairs (about 10-12). Each preschool kid ran and grabbed a chair! It was too cute! Here are my kids-I am kind of partial to them!

Fireman Dotson is starting to show the kids how his gear goes on! As you can tell, they all had firemen hats and were watching quite intently!

Pumpkin Patch-Preschool Field Trip

The preschool field trip for October was to the pumpkin patch. It was so much fun!! Jaleen(she comes to all of the field trips) & Jenna(in town for a funeral) were there too. The kids loved picking out their pumpkins and all of the activities involved with the field trip. We loved it and can't wait to go again next year!
Can you tell from the smile on Trevon's face that he loved the slide? :-)

Starlee coming off of the giant slide. She had the best time!!

Starlee on the pony ride (Aunt Jenna is in the background taking pictures!). She loved it, which surprised all of us considering her aversion to animals!

Ryden couldn't go on the giant slide-so we let him ride the little train thingy. He thought in was great after a minute. At first he was a little uneasy with why we would be crazy enough to let him sit their by himself! (with us right there)

Trev & Starlee with their "tickets" for the pony ride. They had tickets for the pony ride, the corn maze, the hay ride, the giant slide, & of course a pumpkin.

Trev on the pony ride. He loved it!!

Trip to the Zoo-Preschool Field Trip

In preschool, the kids have a monthly field trip. The first, in September, was to the zoo. Here we are in front of the San Diego Zoo sign.

Starlee smiling for the camera (I think the giraffes were in the back).

Trevon loved to see everything! He had so much fun! It will be a bummer when he will miss them because he will be in EAK!

Garin's Raingutter Regatta

Garin has his first Raingutter Regatta in September. He had a great time-he didn't win, but had fun. (Blowing wasn't his thing.) I think he was the only kid with a twin hull there! :-) He and his Dad worked really hard on it!
(sorry the pictures stink-I must have been blind that night!)

Garin's raingutter regatta

Here are a few pictures from Garin's raingutter regatta. Obviously they are not in order and are a little blurry, but here they are! Can you tell that I was holding Ryden and taking pictures? :-)

Starlee & Trevon's Preschool Party

Starlee & Trevon are doing a preschool co-op type thing this year where various Moms in our wards switch turns. The first day was a party at the Rancho Palo Verde Lake. The kids had a blast and the Moms were able to go over a few items of business!
Here is Trevon-he was pushing Ryden around for awhile!
Starlee poses in her new dress (She has her swimsuit underneath!).
The boys found frogs at the lake-Trevon holds his out for show!
And I thought this picture of J-Rod was too cute to not include! He was pretty excited about his frog!

Ethan's Soccer game

Here are a few pictures from Ethan's soccer game! He is absolutely loving soccer and has a great coach, Coach Ewert! Hopefully soon I will post some of Shelby!
